Question faucet flow problem

new to this. i'm on my 3rd keg, disassembled & cleaned system couple of times. my problem is : about halfway into my pour the flow pattern "flattens" out, making the stream faster, hence foam.i took apart the faucet & checked, seems to be ok.if i shut off and open back up it corrects the flow , but that does not seem right. my 1st & 2nd keg flowed smooth. any input would help. sounds like i might need to upgrade to a perlik? thanks
