Linenkugels is a 2.6 volume beer and requires 14 PSIG @ 38F @ sea level. Be certain that your beer temperature is 38F by using a calibrated thermometer. If the beer is not clear when it comes out of the faucet, stop dispensing until you balance your system. Otherwise you will end up with flat beer.

Ok Leinenkugel said that it should be at 2.4 volumes of CO2 and he said that it should be 10-12psi... Does this sound right? Called Perlick and they said 10psi

If it's 2.4 volumes of co2, then 12psi would be correct.

Have you taken the temperature of the beer in the glass (second pour) with a calibrated thermometer? If not, you need to do this to get the beer temperature.

Do you have the tower cooled?

Are you drawing a second or two of foam, and then the beer turns clear? If so, you can't pour beer on top of foam, it just makes more foam.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

Hot Damn, So i took that last barrel of O as a loss and picked up a new 1/4 of Milwaukee Brewing Co's Louie's Demise and man O' live now we are talking!!! 38 degrees at 11.5 psi and it is pure tawny/toffee ambrosia. Also i put my new Johnson controls temperature controller in the tower as apposed to the central body of the unit (old school Perlick Woody). Tip to all of you newbies out there... take your time... let things equalize for a night or two and you will be please that you did

Did this specification come from Leinenkugel?
