Default CO-2 leak confirmed: Need more info

thanks for all the great information on these forums. A "soap" test shows that I have a leak at the connection from where the double regulator hooks to the C02 tank. I have a Micromatic #842 Double reg. Question is: I purchased this from a store in which the box had been opened, so I don't know if it was damaged or I may be missing a part. I have the small fiber washer that is provided with a new fillup, but is there another washer or part that would go into this assembly to stop the leakage? Does anyone have a picture of what the inside of the Brass nut/assembly SHOULD look like (to help me diagnose).
thanks

Some of the regulators have a gasket built into the stem already so you don't need the fiber washer. If it does have the rubber ring on the face of the stem(where it meets the tank, remove the fiber washer because 2 gakets will cause a leak.

"If you tap it, they will come."

Always use OEM washer for replacement. Here is link to the Quad Ring washer.
