Budlight Keg and Beer Line length

i have read that my psi should be around 15. the problem is if i set it that hight the beer shoots out way to fast. the haier kegerator has a stock length of about 5 feet of 3/16 beer line. i have always been running the kegs at 4-7 psi and have noticed them going flat. today i purchased 15 feet of beer line. what length should i start with. i am at a elevation of about 1600 feet and the keg is set for 36-38 degrees.

I have 5 feet of 3/16 beer line and my kegerator is at 36-38 degrees also. I have been told to leave the reg. set for 10psi and adjust up/down a bit depending on the keg. My last keg needed to be at 12psi.

well, I bought more tubing and my beer line is now 7.5 feet long. it still come out quick. it works best at about 11 PSI and thats with about a inch to a inch and a half of foam. should i leave it the way it is? btw i still get some bubbles in my line at that psi. Could it be the Perlick faucet causing the foam?

What brand of beer do you have? What elevation do you live at? What is the liquid temperature and there is no such thing as in between?

Five feet of 3/16" ID vinyl tubing will suffice. If your pressure is at 14 PSIG, the flow rate will be slightly slower than 128 oz/min.

Never adjust your pressure to control your flow rate at the faucet. The type of beer and the temperature of the beer dictates what PSIG you should use. You use the beer line to control the flow speed. Unless you can trump the laws of gasses.

Bud Light @ 36 F @ 1-2000' elevation requires 13 PSIG. Use the five foot of 3/16". 14 PSIG at 38 F.
