Default Tower Chiller

I have a Danby unit (I hate it) that has been giving me problems. First off, I can't get the darn thing cold enough and the tower needs to be chilled. I'd like to build a tower chiller/blower to get some of the cold air from the main area up into the tower. I've seen some people online that have taken some computer fans and riged them to blow ait into a tube and up the tower. ANyone know how they do this.

Also, I had a page bookmarked that sold an aftermarket tower, faucet, and shank that helped prevent foam, but I can't seem to locate the darn link now. Does anyone know what the site is? I remember they sold just the faucet and shank, and then they also sold it with a new tower as well.

Thanks!

I'm thinking of making a blower oout of two CPU fans, placing them in a project box and then hooking up a garbage disposal tube to them to route the air into the tower. I have the ability to power the fan with the 12V fan that is already in the cabinate by splicing the two together. I'll let you know how it works out.

I also have a Danby kegerator. I find the temp gauge to be only usefull in seeing when it is in a defrost cycle. I taped a temp probe to the side of my keg and confirmed that the temp was 38 degrees. I have the same tower problem too. I did replace the beer line with 6' of 3/16" tubing and that has made a big difference, 3' of 1/4" just won't work.

I’ve had a pair of Danby kegerators and have had nothing but problems. I just recently purchased a new beverage air 5 keg system, mostly because of my constant frustrations with the Danby systems. On my Danbys, they have the 2 1/2 inch tower, not that standard 3 inch. You can use the 3 inch but you have to remove the weird turn locking fitting that the other tower screwed into and drill out some holes and you would then want to widen the opening too. I would suggest changing the towers asap because they where complete garbage. You’ll be much happier with the Micro-Matic towers, I know I was.

I another note I love my Beverage Air thus far
