    Default 4 oz of foam coming from keg

    Hi all.
    First off, you're posts have been a great help to me. Now a thread of my own...
    I've got about 4 oz of foam that comes from the keg (does not form in the beer line or in the glass after pour). If I open the door and watch the line, I can see the foam making its way through the line and eventually into my glass. After that initial 4 oz, beer pours fine. I end up pouring out the 4 oz and pouring a new glass. When I go back for a second the 4 oz is back and I pour it out and pour a new beer. CO2 is at a constant 13 psi. Can anyone offer an idea as to why this is happening and how to prevent it?

    Just a theory...I've read alot in this forum about the beer temp being at 38 degrees. When beer hits my glass, it is at 38, but if I look at the thermometer in the bottom of the fridge it is well below 38, around 28. However, if I place the thermometer at the top of the fridge, it is around 41. Is it possible or likely that the top of the keg is causing the foam as it warms to 41 degrees? Obviously, I'm also concerned with freezing. Suggestions on this problem?

    If the temp reading in the upper part of the fridge is that high, it's likely the beer in the line is sitting higher in the warmer air, and causing the co2 to break out of the beer in the line. You need a small fan of some sort inside the unit to circulate air better. Ideally you have uniform temperatures from top to bottom.
