Kegerator for my bar
Hi, I am thinking about buying a kegerator to put in the bar that I am having built in my basement. Can anybody recommend a kegerator that I can put under the bar? I would like to mount the tower to the counter top. Summit has a built-in kegerator, but i would need to spend close to $1000. Would it be possible to buy a Kenmore, Danby, or Sanyo model and modify it to run up to my counter top? Love to hear any suggestions or ideas. Thanks.

the only way i see you doing this is by running a forced air system from the refer unit to the tower, otherwise you will encounter a hot spot that will not only drive you crazy, its alcohol abuse

Scott, you recommend the Sanyo kegerator?

Sanyo
So I can have this unit installed under my bar counter and mount the tower on top of the counter? Do you recommend the Sanyo unit over the Summit "built-in kegerator" that is designed to be placed under a counter?

Yes. You will still have to bridge the gap between the bar and the kegerator, then insulate this and force air up into the tower.
