Default Foam issue /w unique setup

Yet another foam issue, but I have a unique setup.

Beer Temp: 38
Elevation: 580'
Current Pressure: 12psi
2' 3/8 beer line->5' 3/16 beer line
tower setup

There is no foam in the lines. The initial 1/4 to 1/3 of the glass is foam then it run's clear.

The reason I have the 3/8" line is that I have a flowmeter and solenoid valve installed. I've observed the flow and the valve and flowmeter do not appear to be the problem.

While it may be easier to "solve" my problem without this, I have to believe there is a way to fix my setup. So removing the valve and flowmeter are not an option. I would entertain switching out the 3/8 line for 3/16. However I would need to be able to find fittings to get this done. The valve and flowmeter have 3/8" NPT ends. I would need 3/8"NPT -> 3/16 barb or compression with male and female threads. I spent a great deal of time trying to find this and was unsuccessful.

I've pretty much concluded the problem at this point is the temperature difference between the beer and the tap. The temperature inside the tower is a balmy 60 degreees (little 5-10 degrees lower then ambiant). So I'm going to figure out a way to cool the tower.

I've tried a copper tube filled with water extending from the top of the tower into the fridge but that is not working. It only lowered the temp about 5 degrees. To be honest I didn't expect that to work.

Next step will be forcing air into the tower.

Seems that you solved your own issues. You may want to adjust pressure up one to two pounds as well. Good luck
