Leak at the coupler
I have a small leak at the coupler where the hose that goes to the tower and the coupler connect. I have it on as straight and tight as possible. My next attempt was going to try some teflon tape around the threads of the coupler where the wing nut tightens. Any ideas. Thanks.

there is a washer that goes in between those two, had the same prob here originally

Where do you get that washer from? Also, the leak I have isn't that bad.....I have a paper towel wrapped around it, that I change every 12 hours....it is just a little drip. So your saying if there is a washer on the inside of the wignut it won't leak anymore?

One more thing, should that washer have come with the hose and wingnut originally? Because now that I think of it, I don't think it did.

mine is a black washer that came with the unit(kenmore). you will be able to order them from micromatic, they are cheap and fast delivery

A good rule of thumb is anytime that you have a metal to metal connection there should be some sort of washer inbetween.
If you tap it, they will come.

You should only use the washer designed for beer connections. Trying to use something that you have laying around will only cause you trouble.(If it is too soft it may block the beer/gas flow)
If you tap it, they will come.
