Default any ideas
hello, just got my fridge converted. I think this is the greatest thing i have ever done. I just about cryed when i poured my first. anyway was wondering about pressure. it seems like what i have read it needs to be about 15 or so, but the beer comes out way to fast and is hard to control. at about 9-10 I can pour a good glass. I don't know if this will help but my beer line is 5 foot and 3/16 i.d. the faucet is maybe 6-8 inches above the tap. I will probably always be drinking bud light our maybe bud if i get a wild hair. If anyone has a suggestion i am open for it. thanks

What is the liquid temp in your fridge?

not sure of the liquid but air is about 33ish

get a good thermometer and immerse it in a cup of water, observe reading after temp has stabilized and adjust to approx. 38f

i will try that. should my pressure be up around 15 or is it ok at 9.

If your liquid temp is at 38 you should have your presure at 14 or 15, any less and there won't be any carbonation in your beer at the end of the keg. If you want to keep your presure at 9 then you need to get your liquid temp down to about 35

Yes, when you loose carbonation your beer will taste flat.

if i ran a longer beer line and kicked up the pressure it would seem that the flow would slow down abit and be more controlable. is that soo?

Yes, but before you go to all that trouble get your temp regulated. Don't make any adjustments till you can go a 24 hour period with the temp stable.

just checked fluid temp. it appears to be 35. so if temis 35 and psi is 9-10, is that ok. well the beer go flat.

my temp is 35f now, but I would get that psi up a few more notches to bout 13,14

just got it. Apparently the first time i cleaned i got a washer in wrong the wrong spot. got it out of there and every thing is good. i still have temp at 35 and i am able to get psi up to 12. could probable do more but it is pooring really good. lets have a beer.

If it is pouring good @ 12 psi, I would leave it and enjoy what you have. as for myself I am jonesing for some good craft bottled brews, havent had none since xmas. looks like a lil trip to the store soon
