Temperature Issues?

Well, thanks many of you out here, I have my kegerator up and running. A few set backs though as I had to send my brand new never used MM 2 product regulator back b/c it had a HUGE air leak. Oh, well.

My setup: Summitt Double tap kegerator (built In). I have 2-3 inches b/w my custom bar and the top of the kegerator. I used a 2" PVC as air chamber with 2 3/16" beer lines (5ft) and a 3/4" pvc line running through connected to a blower fan. My 17 CFM fan is a 12V dc fan connected to a 9V adapter, which gives me about 6.125 CFM. I feel plenty of air coming up through the PVC to the faucet and they are pretty cold with condensation depending on humidity levels. The fan is mounted in the back right corner of the unit, just to the right of the cooling plate with the intake facing the front of the kegerator door. I was afraid to face the fan the other way for fear of blocking the intake.

My question: My liquid temp via a glass of water in the front of the unit up against the door is 41.5F, my first beer is registering 41F. My air temp inside the kegerator is 39-40F. My temp setting is midway b/n Normal and Coldest setting. Which is almost 3/4 the way to the coldest setting. My compressor kicks on maybe every 15 minutes, which I assume is normal. There are no air leaks that I can detect b/n my tap and kegerator. So how can I get my beer colder??? Should I change the direction of the intake of the fan??? Any suggestions of doing this without blocking the intake??? Is this a good setup or am I being picky??

If you have more room to turn your thermostat to "colder", I think the obvious answer to get it colder would be to turn your thermostat down a bit.

While that is the obvious answer, I thought that the fan would help control the temps inside the unit as well as blow cold air to the faucet. Thus not forcing the kegerator to run as hard/much and leaving the ability to not have the setting set to low.....
