Default Stuck Check Ball?

Hi everyone - I am a new Kegerator owner - a Danby. I am having a problem getting a flow. I have searched just about every post and have found some tips I will try this evening. Here is the deal -
After hooking everything up, I get a burst of foam, followed by just a trickle of foamy beer. Then the trickle even stops, and just drips.
The specifics:
Keg - Coors light. Refrigerated for a few days before tapping.
Temp - Digital Thermomter reads 38 degrees F. I will put a thermometer in a glass of water tonight as suggested.
CO2 pressure - brand new tank. First I set the psi between 10 and 12 as directed in the instructions. I have since set to 14. I have also tried other settings with not much luck.

I have retapped several times. I have checked both the air and beer lines several times.

When I take the lines off of the coupler, the Check Ball falls right out into my hands. And, when I removed the lines, the check ball seemed to be stuck at the very end of the Probe (the piece of the coupler that the beer line attaches to).

SO - any help or advice is appreciated. I am going to try removing the check ball and see if that works. I am wondering if there is no 'check ball retainer' as shown in the coupler diagrams on this site.

If there is no retainer for the ball the beer will push the ball up and block the beer line. After a while the ball may settle down so the next time you get a little foam before it blocks the line.

That indeed was the problem. Flowing (and tasting) great now. I will be getting a new coupler for sure!

Thanks!
