Default Beer Foaming and Temp What To Do Next

I am running a summit kegerator with a keg of Bershire Brewing Company Steel Rail Pale Ale. The gas is set to 12 psi. Fridge is turned up as cold as it can go and the air temp inside is 29 degrees. I have a DC blower hooked up and I have all kind of cool air flow up into the tower (tower is so cold it sweats). I'm still getting about 50% foam and beer at the spout is approx 45 degrees. I know the beer should be cooler for one thing but I'm not sure how to accomplish that. Any suggestions on that and the foaming would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually it sounds like your beer is too cold. I am fighting the foam and I had my kegerator set too cold. Basically your beer holds more Co2 cold then warm, so if your beer is very cold it can easily become over carbonated and when the beer warms up it releases its carbonation. The kegerator should be set at 38 degrees, 29 is below freezing.

Make sure your thermometer is calibrated also.

Get your temp right and then go from there.

I thought the beer should be 38 at the dispense point (i.e at the spout), not inside the kegerator. Which is correct?

liquid temp goal after a few consecutive poors should be 38 degrees . You have to allow a few poors to get true reading of whats in the keg.
