Guinness foam issue
I'm on my 10th keg since I built my kegerator and up until now everything was great. Now when I open the faucet, I get a shot of good beer then a slug of pure foam then good beer. The head used to be 1/2 - 3/4" now it's ~ 1-1/2" and a little crusty - not creamy like it should be.
Beer gas (75/25) @ ~ 32 psi. Temp was a little low @ 35 but I've adjusted up to 38. Lines, faucet & tap beer-cleaned after every keg. Beer gas bottle sits in the fridge w/ the keg and I recently upgraded to a larger bottle - 10# to 20# (although this is the second keg on this bottle and 1st keg was fine).
Could the gas bottle being in the fridge be causing the problem? Nit & CO2 separating?

I know C02 is fine inside the cooler, but am unsure about beergas. If you had you gas in the cooler for all your other kegs and had no problems, I would say it should be fine. By the sounds of things your doing it all right. You didnt partially freeze the keg did you? I froze my Guinness keg and it was game over after that. Your temps are a bitlower than what Guinness reccomends, they call it at 42 degrees.

No, I wouldn't worry about that unless your kegerator is hitting -200F (co2 boiling point).

Don't think it froze. We keep bottled beer in the fridge as well (the wife doesn't care for the black stuff...imagine that) and it was always fine. So if it's not the gas bottle in the fridge, any other thoughts on what it might be?

Is the restrictor plate in the spout clean?

Well, I cleaned the spout and restrictor plate but it looked clean. Still getting a lot of foam. It's almost like it's running out. I get a slug of beer, then a blast of foam/gas, then beer. Since the Guinness was down at about 34 - 35 deg., could it have become over-carbonated? I have adjusted it up to about 40 deg.
If it's over-carbonated, is there a fix?
