A friend told me that Danby uses special faucets and towers. Apparently the towers are not compatible with the standard 1-1/8"-18 thread faucets that Micro sells.
Can anyone confirm that this is true? I would like to order a new faucet but want to sort out what exactly I need.

I've heard that the Avanti uses non-standard parts, and that Danby used to be hit or miss. I think if you have a newer Danby (645), it's standard. If I were you, I'd order a new faucet, and if it doesn't fit, just order a MM shank, and report back. You can replace the shank without replacing the whole tower. If you want a new faucet, you know you're going to do it eventually, regardless. But I
think you should be OK.
