Fruit Flies
Hey guys,
I have a stout faucet... and no matter how much I clean it, empty the drip tray, or sterilize my kitchen... these little buggers keep on coming. I know its my stout they want... as they all gather there. Me and my girlfriend are particularily clean... disinfecting everything weekly.
I see you can get the "Soother" for regular faucets.. but is there a solution for the stout faucet?
What are your tricks?

Check your drip tray drain for build up and clean thoroughly if required. You need to find the source and exterminate.

I have eliminated the drip tray all together. The flies are going right to the faucet tip. They just seem to like the smell that is coming from the inside. I was wondering if there is any kind of a plug people might use for the stout faucets?

I dont think that one will fit the Stout faucet tho.
However, I have solved the issue. I work in the automotive industry, and I found that a Vacuum cap works great. It looks just like that one in the link, but is used to block vacuum lines on older cars. A new one is worth pennies, and beats using a used on covered in grease!

Fruit Fly Killer
Not sure about what kind of plug to get, but I do know that if you set out a dish with vinegar and a drop of dishsoap in it, this will attract and kill your fruit flies in a few days.....
