Default Ideas for changing couplers

I just got a keg of Amstel Light and needed to get the Euro S coupler on and my D coupler off. When I went to screw the nut from my co2 line (which is from my D coupler system) it did not fit b/c the gas port had a different rubber regulator. I ended up cutting the gas line b/c I could not get the nut off. Does anyone have any ideas of how to change out couplers on the gas line other then having to cut the hose each time to get the nut off? Let me know if I am explaining this clearly, thanks.

If by rubber regulator you mean the back flow prevention valve in the couplers gas input then each coupler should have its own. Keep the one that came with the coupler and the nut should screw right on there.

Ed, thanks, and yes that is what I meant. But the nut was not able to screw on because the S coupler's gas regulator is flat and the D coupler was not. I had to replace the metal connector in the gas line that the nut is attached to because that too was flat, the D coupler's metal connector is not flat. I was just wondering what people do when switching out coupler's. Maybe I'm missing something and making a big deal out of nothing....but I had to cut the gas hose to get the nut/metal regular off and put the one on for the S coupler. It's working now but wanted to know what others do. Thanks.

If the two couplers are manufactured by two different companies, the gas port inlet hardware will be different.
