Default Resistor on temp sensor

From a previous post I read,I installed a 33K resistor to the wires of the temp sensor but have not noticed a big improvement in temp. My beer is at 42 degrees. Does anyone have input as to what I may have missed? I have the $400 Danby Kegerator.

You need to make sure that the wires on the resistor are touching the metal leads on the sensor and that it is not loose. I had to actually cut the wire and solder mine into place. I also extended the length of the sensor and repositioned on the top towards the front. Man, what a difference. Ice cold beer tastes soooo good.

Thanks. I ended up soldering but will also try to reposition the sensor as well.
