Default Dual gauge regulator

Should the co2 cannister be opened all the ay and should the lever on the regulator be opened all the way to work properly?

The instructions that came with mine said that the valve seats fully open and fully closed. If you have it inbetween, you risk leaking co2.

Potential leaks on older valves and if you open the cylinder valve all the way, if you ever had to close it in a hurry, you knew which way to turn it.
