Default kenmore kegerator and defrosting
I just defrosted my kegger and just to be retarted took the screws out of the cooling plate that attached it to the rear wall, Lots of ice buildup behind it. I was able to re-attach, but it got me to thinking, could i have left it off and maybe leaned it up against the keg?? Any ideas or thought? Has anyone tried this?

Default Don't...
...try to fix something thats not broken. The lines to the cooling plate will flex and possibly break if you don't keep it mounted. Just defrost it when you change kegs, or as needed. I think someone posted that they directed a fan across theirs, and it reduced frost build up. Maybe spacers could be used to keep it further from the wall. But again, if it's not broke....

thanks, i'm glad i didnt.... i came home from work today and it was 33* on bottom... just needed to defrost. just added a tower cooler from jaeckleint one of our forum contributors... good deal
