Default Foamy beer in new True TDD-1

I just purchased a new True TDD-1 to replace the Danby unit that would not get cold enough. I can now maintain a 35 C liquid temp but the beer still foams way too much. If I repetitive pour, the foam diminishes, but not to acceptable levels. I am running 14 - 15 PSI on the low side of the regulator. The beer is Paulaner Hefeweisen. Is the pressure correct for this temp and beer? What could be causing all the foam? The tower is cooled on this unit also.

How long is the line from the keg to the faucet? If it's under 5 feet try a longer beer line you need the resistance to slow the flow.

The dispensing line is a 5 ft. line that came with the unit. Also, withing 1 week of tapping the keg, the beer now tastes flat.

Thanks for responding anyway. BTW, the liquid temp is 35F, not C. I think the foam has gone to my head....

one little tad of info that can cause foaming, if you have the temp and the psi set correctly, do you open the faucet slow? if so, this will cause a 1/2 glass of foam. I found myself doing this and causing probs. open the faucet quickly and shut off the same way. just my .02

I open the tap handle fully and tilt the glass as suggested. I verified the liquid temp again last night by calibraring the thermometer with the ice in glass method. The beer is very cold and holding steady at 35 - 36 F. I have a 90 degree elbow on the tap that I purchased from MicroMatic when I had the Danby unit (no headroom space). Could that have any effect on the system? I also have a MicroMatic german slider tap on the keg. I also noticed on the charts that wheat beer should be carbonized a lot higher than most other beers (2.9 - 3.5). Is 14 PSI enough on this system at these temps?
