Default Help! Foam problem and I feel like I have tried everything!

I have a Beer Meister that is probably 20 years old. I recently had a new compressor put on it and it seems to be cooling just fine and keeping the beer cold. I also replaced the CO2 tank with a brand new 5lb tank, I have alos cleaned and flushed the lines before installing the keg. I put a 15.5 keg of Bud Light in it on Saturday 6/14 and I am still getting half a glass or more of foam.

I got the keg on friday night and it was cold off of the beer truck, I kept it cold until it was put in the Beer Meister Saturday afternoon. I have tried setting the tank on 3,4,5,7,8,10,11,14 and I still get a lot of foam. Sunday night I turned the tank off and released the pressure on it and left it like that until Monday morning. When I turned it back on I turned the regulator all the way off, turned on the tank, and opened the tap. I then slowy turned on the regulator until I got the pour that I wanted and I still got a lot of foam.

I just don't know what else to try.

My guess would be that the keg is not cold enough. Get a liquid thremometer from a pet store (one of the digital ones for fish tanks.) Put that in a glass of water in the kegerator wait about 2 hours and check and see what the temp of the water is and that is temp of your beer should be between 32-38.

How can I get my unit to run colder? I have it on the coldest setting, but it is an older unit (Beer Meister 40-V) so it does not have a fan. I have put a small battery / ac/dc operated fan inside the cooler to help. Thanks.

Remove faucet and check for any growth there and in the shank. Disassemble the coupler and clean as well. Ditto on temperature.
