Default Marvel Kegerator not getting cold enough

Have had the Kegerator for about 9/10 months now. Marvel model 61HK I have not used it since December, but had left it on with a keg inside since that time. Two days ago I cleaned the lines, put a new keg in, but the temp will not go below 49 degrees. I have it set on the highest setting (7) but used to keep it on somewhere about 4-5 setting.

If I unplug the unit and plug it right back in I can hear it start up and it goes for a bit but then goes off at around the same temp.

It is under warranty still and I do have to give them a call tomorrow, but figured I'd ask here anyway. Was so looking forward to enjoying my first keg of the new year.

You may find that it is frozen. If you defrost the things and plug it back in does it go down to temp. If not you will need to get a refrigeration guy in there to assess the situation.

Yeah I had the Service tech comes. He was here about 5 minutes. Two of the three inside plates are not getting cold at all. He said they have to order the parts and it could take 10 days.

I'm not happy about having to wait 10 days to get the part. I'm going to start calling some other repair places around here and see if any have it in stock. The two kegs I have in the fridge are sitting at 49 degrees for over a week now.

With the beer at 49 degrees now for about 2 weeks. The beer is tapped atm. When I do finally get this thing fixed sometime this week, do you think that the beer will still be good once it gets back to temp or cut my losses and grab a new one? It's nothing big. A 1/6th keg of Mic Ultra. The other keg is also a 1/6th untapped keg of Mic Ultra as well

Since the beer is not pasteurized, bacterial growth may occur above 50 F. So in your case, it's possible. Once you are back up and running... you'll know if it's spoiled after trying a glass.
