fridge conversion- foam
had one fridge conversion that was working perfect. have since converted a newer unit but with this unit first pour is always half-glass of foam. yuengling lager, 10 psi, 34-35 degrees. am thinking i'll probably try 7 foot of beer line instead of kit's 5 feet. sound like a good next step? any other suggestions?

did some searching and wondered if the fact that with my newer set-up the beer line makes a pretty sharp turn immediately after the coupler - i have a shelf above the keg - which I didn't have in my older fridge. could this be an issue?

Longer line will not help. Try 11 PSIG and cool tower if it is not at this time.

Thanks but I don't have a tower - it's just a standard spigot sticking out the side of fridge - it can't much colder.
I could see air in the beer line where it arched up from keg and down to tap (picture upside down U). I changed line configuration so it wasn't bending so drastically and untapped/retapped keg. I'll see how it is tonight.

you shouldn't have air or bubbles in the beer line. If you still see them with your new configuration, check to verify your beer line to coupler connection is tight and has a neoprene washer.

sorry to be dumb but the neoprene washer is the tan washer that's kind of cut off at an angle? if so, is it possible that's in but the opening is facing the wrong way or something?

That sounds like the co2 check valve. That should be in the gas inlet side of your coupler, also with a washer. There should only be a neoprene washer in the beer line side.

fixed my problem but don't know why. when pulling on the handle i noticed that the was a woosh/air sound so it got me to thinking... i have a long yuengling tap handle connected to an offset fitting so the handle clears the fridge side. i wondered if that somehow wasn't allowing the faucet to open and close correctly so i swapped in my regular handle and viola, it works perfect!
can anyone explain to me why? also, is my long handle and offset fitting garbage?
