Default slightly longer beer line

I have recently installed my draft tower into my wet bar, but after running all of the duct work and blower tubes, I have found that my beer lines are a bit too short at the recomended 5 foot length, so I bought two new lines that are seven feet long and 5/16 I.D., my question is how much of a pressure differance should I have on average?

Your beer lines should be 3/16" ID for proper balance, 5/16" ID is too big for beer line and is usually used for gas line line.

Is the total line length 5 feet, and are you pushing the beer up to no more than 3 or 4 feet above the center of the keg? If so, about 12 PSI is the right pressure to drive your system.

If I'm misunderstanding and you have a long draw system, or you are pushing beer higher than 4 feet above the keg and have reasons for larger ID line, please explain further.

Good luck!

Like said above, use 3/16" for a beer line that short. I've never seen anything over 1/4" even for a long draw system. With a short run of 5/16" you're going to be dealing with hypersonic pours and most likely massive foaming when it htis the glass.
