Post Cleaner

I'm confused about this cleaning system:

Cleaning Kit - D System - 1.3 Gallon (5 Liter)
http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-...801147-CK.html

How many uses do you get out of this cleaner before you have to buy a new one? If it's pressurized, I'd think it's a limited use system. I'm just curious since it's 88 bucks, which is more than my kegs.

Basically, I have to buy a cleaning system soon, so I'm curious.

Thanks

This system is no more than a plastic keg with a removable valve. This should last indefinitely as long as it is taken care of.

Before you remove the coupler from the valve, always purge the pressure from the bottle through the relief valve at the cap. This will prevent any back spray if the coupler is not removed correctly.

The only thing you have to replenish is the cleaning solution. The descriptiong says it lasts for about 32 cleanings.

You are spending the $88 on the system... which you can use for many years. It's basically a little mini keg that you put the cleaning solution in. You unscrew the cap, put the cleaning powder in and fill it with water, screw the cap back on and tap it like you would a keg with your coupler and turn on your CO2 to pressurize so you can run the solution through the beer line.

It's pretty cool. I have one and like it. In addition to that setup, I also bought the "S" compatible cap, which seemed very expensive, but I drink a lot of european beers and didn't want to have to change to the "D" coupler every time I clean.

Aaaah, okay. Thanks. I thought the cleaner itself was pressurized, but I see now.

I almost always drink standard american beers, so I should be fine. Thanks for the suggestion though as it makes complete sense for your situation.

Thanks again. I'm buying this now.

Agreed.

A buddy of mine has one,(he doesn't take care of anything), and his has lasted for years.

They work great.
