Default Guinness pour speed-too fast?

Hey guys,

Im running a 1/2 barrel of Guinness right now, set at 38psi as per reccomended setting, temp @40 degrees. I am using MM 5' stainless, 3/16" beer line. Im finding that my pour are too fast. I can fill a 20 ounce beer glass in less than 3 seconds. Now that my temperature is under control, I am still having slight foam issues. Its alot better, but I am still getting 1.5" - 2" of head.

Should I be extending my beer line? 7'? 10'?

I know 5' is good for beers using 10 to 15 PSI... but what about 38 PSI?

Thanks

Are you using a stout faucet with all the necessary parts? 32 lbs. should be enough pressure with the proper dispensing faucet. Sounds like the restricter and straightener might be missing

Stout faucet was ordered less than a month ago from Micromatic. I didnt dismantle it to check all the internals out though, I assumed it would of been new, and ready to go. I still get the cascade when I pour, which I thought was the result of the restrictor disk...

Other than that, using 38 PSI, 70/30 Mix, 5/16 gas line, MM U-Type coupler, and the previously mentioned beer line and faucet.

I run 28-32 PSI with a five foot line 38 degrees and it pours great. 38 PSI seems way hi from what I've seen...used.
