Attn: People with blowers/tower coolers
How did you route your power wire out of the kegerator? I have the Danby and dont have the space to sneek it out with the gas line ( I keep my bottle on the outside)

I drilled the gas line hole open a little more. I then filled in the remaining space with the expanding spray foam insulation. It is easy to get out if I ever need to remove the gas line...
I have seen some people drill it through the bottom area that is raised, but I found the top just as good.

I was able to just barely tightly snake the power supply line into the kegerator through the gas line hole without drilling it out. Then I just grabbed onto it with some pliers and yanked it through. But it's a pretty thin power line on this one I have. If yours is too thick, yeah, I guess you'd have to drill it out.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

Good to know its possible. That must of been a tight squeeze though! I think what I will do is take a triangle file (one of those small, triangle shaped metal files) and work a little divet into the Danby C02 line grommet on the back. This should give me a few more hairs of space to work with. I will let you all know how it goes.

Drain hole
Is there a drain hole? A lot of people use it.

I cut the cord off an old lamp and connected it to the blower. Then I replaced the fridge lightbulb with a thing from the hardware store that converts a light socket to an outlet. Last I took the light switch apart and spliced the wires together so its always on despite the switch position. Plugged it in - good to go ever since. This advice will do you no good if your fridge has no light inside, but I thought I'd share since I felt so damn clever when I finished it,... haha

On the back of your Danby, unscrew the two phillips head screws holding the plastic ring that the CO2 line goes through. Pull out the plastic ring along with a rather long sleeve. Run your power line through the hole and then slide the plastic sleeve back in. It's a nice snug fit. I was surprised how thick that back panel actually was.
Good Luck.

In retrospect I probably could have not drilled but the foam was so much fun to use!

Danby
I have the same Danby you do and it'll fit through, but as you said, it's very tight. I first thought I wasn't going to be able to fit it through. I had to take the CO2 line out and put the power cord through first, and then feed the CO2 line back in.

When I went external control, I pulled the co2 line out so I could get the temp bulb and cap line in the unit. I round filed out the top of the plastic ring and the metal back (about 3/16") so all would fit. Put some tape around the cap tube and blower wires for protection. So far so good.
