Default Rolling new keg to its destination

I have a basement rec room with kegerator set up. Is there any problem with rolling a 1/2 keg out of my car, down steps before reaching my kegerator. Shound i wait a certian amount of time before tapping the keg. I will wait several hours before enjoying a cold one so that the keg settles but my concern is the inital tapping of the keg after all of the rolling and shaking up of the beer.

I would let it sit in the kegerator over night to allow the beer to settle and to reach proper temp before tapping it.

Rolling it won't hurt it.

I personally will be buying a $10-20 hand cart. Safer and easier to do it that way.

A membership to Gold's gym will eliminate the need to roll the keg around. But yeah, I'd let it sit overnight.

Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

You would be amazed at the abuse these kegs take at retail with delivery personnel rolling, bouncing, sliding or tumbling kegs to their destination.

Dust covers go flying at times. It is incredible how these kegs perform after this abuse. Will the beer be bruised slightly? Yes, but remember, the beer leaves the keg from the bottom where the agitation is normally at the top.

Normally the issue is not so much the agitation but the temperature of the beer. Definitely let the keg settle awhile so it can acclimate.

Thanks for all the replys, got the keg safely to its destination, into the kegerator and tapped 24 hours later.
As far as the gym membership, maybe next time I'll invite ya over so I can watch you carry the 1/2 keg from my car down the steps and into the kegerator without rolling it or having a chiropractor standing by.
