Default Switching Kegs

I have a single tap kegerator. I would like to keep a keg of a local microbrew and a keg of Coors Light either in the kegerator and/or the extra fridge, and just switch them out based on what I want to drink that day. Will switching kegs out cause the beer to spoil?

Thanks!

As long as you maintain the proper pressure on the keg while it is untapped, it should be fine.

I would recommend upgrading to a double tap system though.

Is it possible to maintain proper pressure when untapping the keg?

Unless you have a leaky keg (and you would have run out of CO2 by now anyway), the keg will hold the CO2 it had when untapped. It is a closed system.

I do this often with no problems. Just as monkey says keep the pressure and keep it cold. You will have 2 good beers all the time. I wish I could keep more than 2.
