Default Guinness Keg up and running but...

I have an issue. The guinness is rocketing out of the faucet like no other. Giving me entire glasses of head. Im using 5' of 3/16th MM beer line, have the pressure set to 36psi, and let the keg settle for 3 hours after transport. Ideas?

Try turning the pressure down a bit, try anywhere down to 28 and see how it flows.

Gonna try that later today. Im going to get a digital thermometer today so I can check my actul beer temp. i have a feeling it might be a few degrees warmer than it should be which would contribute to the foam.

What should my ideal Guinness pressure be? Im in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Which is 2200 feet above sea level.

OK, thermometer reads at 48 degrees first pour, 46 degrees second pour. The Danby wont chill any cooler. Ideas?

A different resistor or an external temperature control.

Most of you are running the 100k resistor right? From the threads I have read it seemed that was the resistor that made the ******* Danby control panel read what the actual liquid temp was. Maybe I am wrong.

I am going to pull out the temp probe today and make sure I actuall put in a 100k resistor. I bought a variety pack and could have put in something else. I had a few in me at the time!

Noticed I didnt have the 100k soldered into to temp probe wires. Thats what I get for being color-blind! Hopefully this will solve the issue, now I just need to wait for the long weekend to end to get some more stout gas. My hose slipped off and I lost all my gas.

A 33k resistor will lower the temp 5 to 6 degress. A 150k will give accurate temp readings on the display and lower the temp about 2 degrees.

Put the 100k in. When doing the glass of water trick, temp reads from 38.5 to 39.5 degrees with the Danby set to its coldest setting (37 degrees). Pretty close if you ask me. So if I wanted it to read a degree or two cooler, what resistor number would I want? 90k? 110k?
