Default Removing Faucet

I need to clear the beer line in my kegerator, but I am unable to remove the faucet (even with the tool designed to do so). Wondering if anyone has had the problem of the faucet being stuck, and what is a good solution to loosening it up. Thanks.

Um... righty tighty lefty loosy?

Even if it were gummed up from beer it should still come unscrewed with the faucet wrench.... unless someone used a torque/impact wrench to tighten it down.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

haha yes thank you for the tip on which way to turn it. But its stuck very good. I don't know how it got on so tight. I've removed the entire faucet from the beer line and put on a different one, but now I can't seem to tighten the the whole thing enough. If you push the handle to the side it loosens up and falls over.

My faucet is reverse threaded. Try Lefty-Tighty/Righty-Loosey.

The faucet is right hand thread. Although it is confusing, picture the faucet itself as the screw and you are turning the hole instead Gamblingmatt, it sound like when you replaced the shank assy., you didn't tighten the nut on the inside of the tower. To take off a stubborn faucet, run some warm water or cleaning chemical solution around the collar that holds the faucet to the shank. That should help break it loose. Tapman

if the hotwater/solution trick doesnt work, try holding the faucet in your hand and lift up while using your wrench. it sorta takes the pressure off the threads on the faucet/collar assembly. another thing that happens nownthen is the nub on the end of your wrench will dig in to the threads on the faucet.try to pay attention to keep it off just a bit while holding on to your faucet. hope it helps, gotta roll the route calls..........cyabrianatkcdraft.
