Tower leaking

Maybe you can help.I have a 2and a half diameter tower and the shank leaks.This is a old tower and was wondering what kind of shank i should buy that would fit to correct this leak.

Please reply with a description of the connection between the fitting at the back of the shank and the shank itself. Welded, compression fitting, etc. Is this where it leaks?
