Default Penn Weizen PSI and Temp

Just got a 1/2 barrel of Penn Weizen. I am gonna let it settle in the kegerator overnight.

Just wondering if anyone knows the proper CO2 PSI and Temperature I should keep it at.

Thanks

e-mail the brewery. They'll let you know.

I think you'll find that 12 or 13psi at 38 degrees will probably get do you through the weekend. The major issue with too much or too little pressure is over carbonating or under carbonating (flattening) over time. Two days isn't going to do either. Then, Monday, you should have a response from the brewery and if you're pressure is off 1 or 2 psi, you can adjust then.

Ask the brewer what the carbonation level of the beer is in volumes. Hopefully they will know. If it is around 2.5 v/v, heed cubby_swans advice. If it is higher, say 2.7, PSIG to keg needs to be higher - 14 to 15.

I am getting a 1/2 barrel of Weizen this weekend for the Stanley Cup playoffs. What did they tell you to set it at?
