Maybe the thermostat was adjusted and the beer is too warm. If the beer is too warm behind the faucet (in the tower), it will cause the CO2 to breakout from the beer and build a pocket of foam.

i checked the temp and it was fine, i checked all the basic things i could think of but i did notice that the coupler does not seem to have a good connection to the keg as i can simply turn it left and unhook it without releasing the lock handle if you can understand what i mean? maybe this is normal i have never messed with it but maybe it is a bad keg? but i wouldn't think air would get in there just leak out if it was a bad connection?

The bottom seal washer on the coupler may be defective or worn out. Inspect and replace if required. What is your beer temperature / PSIG to keg?
