Default Summit Beer To Warm

I have a summit beer unit. The temp in the box is 30 deg's at the bottom and 32's deg at the top (tap). To balance the temp I put a small fan in the back top corner. The beer is bud light, the psi is set at 11.

Why is it when I check the beer temp in the glass it is only 40d deg's. In the frig. I am using frig dial temp thermometers, and in the beer gass I am using a metel prob or meat type thermometer. This temp reading is in a room temp class not a glass from the frig which is about 2 deg's colder. I dont think there chould be a 10 deg difference from the box to the glass. Please help if you can.

None of your thermometers may be too accurate. Check the accuaracy of the meat thermometer in an ice bath. Once you are certain of the accuracy of it, check the temperature again by pulling a glass, chugging or dumping it and then pull another. Take the temperature of this second pull.

Also, if you're using a warm glass, instead of a chilled glass, that can raise the temp of the beer 2-3 degrees almost immediately.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."
