Default Ok.. I admit it... I LOVE MY DANBY :D

Its not often said, so im here to tell the world! DANBY RULES! Some have said im crazy, insane, drunk, or have been sniffing co2.... but I am going to go out on a limb and say that the danby is awesome now that the resistor mod and cheapo blower are installed. Before the mods it sucked bigtime, but for less than $20 it rivals models twice its price. The camco blower setup i posted about earlier continues to work like a charm, and the resistor mod has enabled me to have beer as cold as my liver desires. Infact, if my house caught fire and i could save either the danby or my wife..... Well..... Hmmmm... I would miss her, but at least i would have beer!

The single most important thing to do is the resistor mod. Without this fix the thing works like crap and you are lucky to get the beer any colder than 41-42 degrees. Also worth noting is the fact that since the resistor mod, i have had no issues with the defrost cycle or having excessive frost buildup. I was going to buy the brewers edge controller before i knew about the resistor mod, but i just cant see why i should spend the $100 for the temp controller when for $0.99 the thing is working like a champ! I have been so happy with it that i have started buying some extra toys for it, like a micromatic regulator, extra co2 tank, and the cleaning kit. Dont get me wrong, i didnt replace the regulator because the one that came with it didnt work. I just thought the mm regulator looked cool and i like the no screwdriver needed adjustment knob! Next may be a perlick faucet! woo hoo! By the way, about the blower... truthfully its not necessary but it helps cut down on the foam on the first glass poured of the day. I did it because i found a very cheap way to do it, but i dont think i would have done it if it was expensive. The whole point of the danby is so you dont have to spend over $1000 for a beverage air. It seems some of the people on here have spent so much on upgrading the unit that they should have just bought the beverage air in the first place! Even with what i have bought for it, im still under $600!!!!!
