SScrew Stuck on Danby Regulator
I searched the forums and haven't seen any posts similar to this in the last 8 months. I'm now on my second Danby (Draught Tech) regulator for the same reason. The reg seemed to work fine for the first week or so and then I go to adjust it and it will only turn about 1 rotation. I took the first one back and exchanged it and the second worked fine for another week. I went to adjust it tonight because I was getting a surge of foam in the first glass and the screw won't move.
Any thoughts? Is anyone else going through this?
Thanks for all the help!

Make sure you have the lock nut backed out a couple of turns before trying to adjust it. If you just lossen it, it often will tend to tighten as you are adjusting the center screw.

Mayhaps you unscrewed it all the way. This still shouldn't have locked it up, but it is all I can think of.
BTW, the surge of foam from your first draw isn't coming from your co2 settings, it is likely from a warm tower or the Danby's poor ability to properly keep the beer the correct temperature.

Follow up
Thanks for the help. Ultimately, I ended up just ponying up for the MM regulator. If nothing else, it looks better!
I think the issue may have been the threading on the Danby (Draught Tech) regulator. It had a very tight thread that wasn't terribly deep, so I'm guessing that the thing just got cross-threaded on me. The one that I got from MM has huge threads and a twist adjustment rather than the screw. That makes it easy with no tools.
Thanks again for the help.

Oh, I also stuck the temp sensor in a glass of water and that has made a difference. Soon, I'll wind up at radio shack and do the resistor mod (assuming that I can talk the wife into letting me screw around with it some more...)

If your wife likes cold beer she will.
