Just a newbie, but I would suggest buying a kit with an adapter that screws right into the faucet attachment. Not a lot of money and no need to disassemble anything.
Disassembling the hose from the faucet isn't too difficult, but it may get annoying if you have to do it evey time you clean the lines.
Lift the cap off your tower, remove the hose clamp (may have to cut if it's not a screw clamp) from the shank and remove the hose. Reattaching is a little more tricky - easy to do outside of the tower, but a little more difficult inside. Best bet is to get the right size tower wrench, pull the hose through the tower and make whatever changes you want. You can do with a small crescent or open-end wrench, but it's a lot easier with the tower wrench.
