Default Tap line filling with co2/air

Hi, i'm new.
with that out of the way, here's my problem.
My beer is foamy with every pour and if it sits you can see bubbles coming into the line from the keg coupler to the tap, if it sits long enough the co2 (i'm assuming) will displace the beer and fill the line with air.

I have Miller lite on tap, which has a 'D' system, Fridge is at 40°F, CO2 tank is inside the fridge set at about 8-10lbs, approx 2-3 feet of line from coupler to tap

at first i assumed that the coupler was bad since it'd been sitting for about 5-6years, i borrowed one from my buddy and the same thing happend. to rule out this farther i got a brand new coupler from the local distributer and got the same result. Is it possible there's a problem with the keg itself?

i read thru the other threads and found:

I'll check the seal on the keg side when i get home, any other suggestions?

I'd lower your temp for that beer to at least 38F, it sounds like the gas is breaking out of solution. After you drop the temp try increasing the pressure too.

I'm sure one of the pros will be along with some more advice.

i lowered the temp to 38°F and increased pressure to 12psig but seems to have solved the air in the line, but now it comes out of the faucet like a fire house and still produces lots of foam in the glass/pitcher...
also, the beer doesn't have much for bubbles coming up thru the body once it's poured...

not that it's stopped me from drinking it

Yes it could be the keg, check the ruber seal for any nicks and etc.

You may need to increase the length of your beer line. This is the preferred method of flow control. How long is your beer line at present?
