    Default Danby T-Stat

I have a Danby kegerator (model DKC644bls Chill'n Tap)that I bought and it has a digital t-stat. It will only go down to 36 degreeson the readout, but actual water temp reading is 43 is there any other way to adjust it?

I bought the DKC645 at SamsClub and it also had the digital thermostat. It had the same problem, would not get the temp down below 44 degrees. I checked it with 3 thermometers, putting them in a cup of water for a day and then checking the temp. I also poured beer in a cup and checked the temp with an instant thermometer and the temp was around 50 degrees. This was not acceptable. I called the company

The company told me that they were having sporadic problems and were testing 50 units with results on 8/8/05. She sent me a new sensor but not before I was fed up and returned the unit to Sams Club. Now I am shopping for a new unit. I really liked the Danby except for the warm beer. I am considering the Haier or Sanyo, anyone have any suggestions.

If you want the same temp. problem stay away from the Haier units. You can check other posts on that problem. my Kenmore kegerator is made by Sanyo, I have no problems with it at all.

Had the same problems with the Danby from Sam's Club. There service was so bad they even are reimbursing me $65 for a destroyed keg of Bud Light. Bought the Heier from Best Buy and it works great!

hopefully that $65 is for a half keg of bud light, not a 1/4

    Default Danbyfixes

I don't know if it will help a freezing problem, but Psycodad wrote a great solution to most all problems I had with my Danby. It waschanging the temp control, and he included excellent instuctions.Try Danby Kegerator Improvements. Hope you find it helpful.
