Default Random questions

I was looking at my converted fridge the other day and noticed the seal was not tight. It is currently staying at 40-41 degrees (water temp inside cup in fridge, measured by simple thermometer), which i know is a bit high. So I have a few questions:

1. Do I have to replace the whole seal or just the not so tight part.
2. Would one of those freezer converter things work? I know they regulate when the freezers turn on, would they do a fridge?

Also, the keg comes out very fast when I pour it. I have a 4 inch shank currently. I bought a 7 inch one but it was too long and would not let the fridge shut as it ran into the keg. I have a normal tap on the outside of the fridge. I have a few questions about that as well:

1. Since my beer is coming out foamy, should I buy a new tap and handle combo?
2. Should I get a shank in a middle size should I be able to find one? Does that make a difference?

One more quick thing: Is it imperative I get one of those double gauges sold on the website? I am using a regular PSI detector. I changed it out and it still requires a low PSI to make the beer not all foam. I am wondering if it is not regulating right. Maybe it isn't meant for gas?

Since I bought this used, I know the following stats:

Tried many different beers.
beer line: 10 feet of 3/16 inside diameter (i think its ID)
CO2 ran out the back to the tank outside the fridge.

Sorry this is so long. I thought of more questions as I typed this.

1. If you are talking about the door seal just replace the whole thing.

2. That would only work if your fridge temp will get below your temp set point. Would not recommend for a fridge.

1. Make sure your temp and pressure is correct (approx 38 degrees and 14psi for a starting point). Make sure everything has been cleaned with beer line cleaner and flushed with water. No you do not need a new handle.

2. The shank only needs to be long enough to get thru the door I think.

The second gauge on the regulator is to measure how much co2 is left in your bottle. Make sure you have a co2 regulator.
