Default Foam Issues, will this help

Hi, I just built a kegerator last week with a fridge I bought used in town and then parts off the micromatic website. It works great except for the foam issue. I have been reading a lot about foaming issues and I figure mine is because of too short of a beer line. I have a 1/4 keg of Killians on tap and have 5 feet of 3/16 beer line. I have it set to about 14 psi at 38 degrees F. Because Killians needs more pressure I have it set higher than I believe a 5 foot beer line can handle.

My question is this: If I buy a 3/16 inch splicer and add more line will that work or should I just buy about 10 feet of new line and work down from there until I have a good pour?

Thanks

I'd buy the 10 ft. and just start cutting it back.

Buy a new line - depending on your location I would suggest starting at 15' and cutting down 1' at a time until you have no air in the line and your pour is around 1 to 2 oz per sec.
