Default Beer Longevity

I had dinner with a friend last night who keeps a spare keg of Bud Light in his garage in case the one in his Haier runs out. How long can a keg of Bud Light remain un-refrigerated before it spoils? (no comments about the Bud Light )

Unpasteurized keg beer spoils quickly. Your friend needs to keep his spare keg cold to keep it from going bad.

Sitting out with no refrigeration will add some taste to that Bud Light.

You do not want to store kegs of beer unrefrigerated! It's Bud light for pete's sake! You can run to any party store and get another keg of that stuff in less than 1/2 hour and be drinking again. Let the party store keep it refrigerated and fresh for you.

PS: You can always keep a 12 pack in the fridge until your runner gets back with the fresh keg too!

It isn't. Even kept cool it will spoil after so long tapped or not.

You are right. It is pasteurized before it is bottled, but not if it is in the keg. Thanks.
