Default Danby is too cold

Hi Forum
I know that the danby is renowed for problems but I have one that I havent found yet on the forum
first my digital readout only gives me the first digit(I dont rely on this for temp),but I checked my readout this morning and the first digit was a 'L'(what does this mean?) and the temp in the kegerator was 15 degrees and of course all the lines were frozen,I switched it off and opened the door and waited for the temp to increase,I than switched back on and went to work,Im now home and the digital display is now at 1 blank,I took a reading from the inside temp and it was at 24 degrees, the lines are still frozen,so Im waiting for everthing to warm up and decided to post this, any ideas/help would be appreciated
Thanks Paul

Could be a problem with the temp sensor or its connection. If you put the sensor in an ice water bath (32 deg f) it should ohm out about 6500 ohms. Go colder the resistance goes up, warmer the resistance goes down. At 60 deg f it should read about 2800 ohms. If the sensor checks good and the wiring to the control board checks good than you may have a bad control board.

I would be interested in hearing what you find. My Danby shorted out and I've been fighting with them for over a month. They refuse to believe that there are design issues that actually compromise safety. We had a leak, caused by higher than normal co2 pressure, from the beer line inside the tower (which should have a clamp on it!). The beer leaked down into the cooler and also onto the metal top. There is nothing preventing a beer leak from entering this space; no gasket, no silicone, no nothing. Even better the circuit board box is recessed into the metal top and "sealed" (ha, laughable) with a sponge gasket. The beer was soaked up by the sponge and dumped right into the circuit board box thereby frying it like a damn egg. The unit got so hot the plastic box and underside of the plastic tower top was actually melted in places. Very bad news! We're not talking a huge leak either - no more than 1/3 cup actually leaked and some of that went into the cooler itself. So please let me know what you find! I have already submitted complaints to the president of Danby Canada, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and UL-Standards org. I've already heard back from Danby Canada and they are not being very helpful. They are really trying to sweep in under the rug and keep trying to push the blame on me by saying there was an "excessive spill".

`morebeer`
I did the tests that were mentioned and my temp sensor was fine,so I started looking at the controller board and decided to bypass it with the Brewers Edge II,after a few more modifications I now have a kegerator that works.
Thanks to these guys on here.
