Question How long to cool a Keg in my System?

I just setup a Guinness system and read every thread on Guinness I could find. I did not see a time period relating to the correct time to wait before troubleshooting problems. I have the metallic taste in my beer. I have the beer-gas set to 32 lbs, and the Danby set to 38F even though I read on other sites Guinness should be at a higher temp. Right now I have major foam and metallic taste. NOTE: everything is new and clean.

I've had mine take 12-24 hours to bring the beer back down to temp on a 1/2 keg.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will help others in the future before they start troubleshooting. Now I must go back to my keg for more testing.

Guinness should be served at 42.8 degrees.

Check it out here

Red face New problem.

Seeing whereas I do not now how to post a new topic I am adding on to my original.

I am now on my 8th keg of Guinness at my home over the past 8 months. The last 7 kegs were perfect. (flavor, body, head etc.)

My situation now is:
I have a keg that taste different than the last 7 and the beer will not hold a head. (flat head after 1 minute). I am using the proper Nitrogen CO2 mixer from a distributor that specializes in beer gases. My pressure gauges still remain locked on the same as for the past 7 kegs, but everything is different beer-wise. Instead of a 1" to 3/4" head, I have 1/8" to 1/4" head, and the flavor does not have that Guinness creamy taste.

Temp is around 40 F, Pressure is at 30 PSI, and gas is 75% Nitrogen 25% CO2.

HELP!!!
