Beer in the side yard
Alright...here goes..
I am in the process of finishing my basement, and will be putting in an under bar beer dispensing system... I haven't done much research yet, but it's getting close...
During this remodel, I am going to run one or possibly(hopefully) 2 beer lines behind the walls and to the side of my house to have the ability to have draft beer outside...seems like a great idea, aside from the logistics...which is why I'm here...
Question 1
Is it possible to have one keg delivering to two taps...?
The other part of my plan consists of a quick connect on the outside of the house. I am not going to refrigerate the line (at least i'm trying not to), so what I'm thinking is that I'm going to use my beer cooler...(~50 qt cooler with 2 50' stainless coils and 2 taps) and have some type of quick connect on the side of the house...
sooooo.....
Question 2
Is there something that exists that can be considered a "beer line quick connect?"
I will put a valve on the line that runs outside so I can isolate it as I will probably only use it 5 or 7 times a month during the spring/summer/fall, and will probably have to drain and clean the lines after every use...unless it's back to back days of use...but I think that it might be worth it personally.
As a rough estimate it's probably going to be almost a 50' run to where I would like to put the connection outside. I'm looking at 3/8" ID beer line, and it appears that it carries .75 oz per foot so that equates to approx 40oz. of beer in the line, not including the coil to chill that will be attached to the outside of the house. That's 5/16 OD stainless so slightly less that the 3/8.. we'll say .5 oz. per foot, so that's another 25 oz. bringing the total to 65 oz. in the lines alone. Is that do-able? It could potentially be the coolest thing ever...and I'll probably give it a try on principal alone but if anyone has any suggestions for hardware that would be great.
