Default Widmer Hefe

Any Suggestion on the Widmer Hefe for PSI and Temp?

Got it at 38 now with 14 PSI.

Doesnt seem to form any head at all.

Last night when I put it in it was kind of warm but actually formed a good head.
I see some recommendations of a serving temp of 48 degrees on a google search.

Just curious..

Since I had to wait on my Erdinger I went and picked up a 5 gal of this.

I've never checked the PSI at my work but we keep it in the same cooler with Bud, Bud Light and Killians so temp prob. isn't the issue.

Are your glasses "beer clean"? The residue from regular detergents can leave an oily film on glassware which can cause heads to fade on beers. Some are more sensitive than others. Also if you use a lemon it too can cause a head to fade.

WIDMER and LEMON .. where did you come up with that

I tried the lemon because it must be the popular thing to do with this hefe..
It was ok. I do like to squeeze orange in my Erdinger !! Now that ROCKS !
Its also good in Leinenkugels SunSet wheat.

The beer still seems fine as far as carbonation, I need to "beer clean" my glasses though... still not that head I would like.

Thanks for the head ups Ed (pun intended)
