Default Flat Stout

I just hooked up my new nitrogen system and it carbonated one stout superbly but a week later I hooked up another stout keg and it's barely carbonating after more than a week. I did have a leak in one of my connectors so the pressure has decreased to about 600 but the first stout still comes out fine. Would the reduced pressure be causing this or should it still carbonate properly at 600. The guage doesn't have any indication as to when i should refill (or when the remaining pressure's not enough to properly carbonate). Someone please help!

You shouldn't be carbonating with nitrogen you should use co2. I would guess that if your first one carbonated then perhaps it was kegged prior to fermentation being complete. This could cause it to naturally carbonate.

You should be pushing with a CO2/ Nitrogen mix. The nitro pushes, the CO2 maintains carbonation. Tapman

75% Nitrogen / 25% CO2. Also make sure you are using a nitrogen tap to release the Nitrogen at the tap ;-)

Yes, but would only want to carbonate it to about 1.2 volumes of CO2. If you need the psi for that I would have to reference my chart which I don't have in front of me. After your beer is carbonated to that level you would push it with the 75/25 Nitrogen/CO2 blend.
