Question Ran out of CO2 - getting refilled today - will beer go flat?

I have a single gauge regulator.

When the kegerator was given to me, it included a 5lb CO2 cylinder. I'm not sure how much was left in the bottle. The cylinder ran out, and I'm going to get it refilled today, and hooked back up by early this evening

My question is...will having the CO2 unhooked from the keg affect the quality of the beer?

I didn't untap the keg, but I did shut off the gas supply valve.

I think I'm going to invest in a double-regulator and/or another cylinder!

thanks!

As long as the pressure gauge read 12-14 lbs you'd be fine. Worst case scenerio, your beer would be a little flat but would recarbonate when the new tank was hooked up for a day or two.

The pressure gauge was zero! There was a slight leak at the coupler.

I got the bottle refilled, hooked up, and the beer tasted fine......

Thanks!
